Gastric/Enteric-Soluble Pharmaceutical Film Coating
MEDICINAL FILM COATING PREMIX (ENTERIC TYPE)
This Medicinal film Coating premix (Enteric Type) is produced by physically blending polyacrylic resin—which serves as the film- forming agent—with excipients such as plasticizers, anti- tacking agents, and colorants. It is used for the enteric or sustained- release coating of pharmaceutical preparations; the coating remains insoluble in gastric fluid or acidic media but dissolves in intestinal fluid with a pH of 6.0–7.0, thereby achieving an enteric, sustained- release effect.

Applications
Coating for tablets and pills:
  • Moisture and light protection; maintaining drug stability in tropical climates
  • Gastric acid resistance to delay release until the drug reaches the intestine
  • Isolation of hygroscopic or porous tablet cores
  • Film coating for lozenges and throat pastilles
  • Coating for granules, powders, and pellets:
  • Gastric acid resistance to delay release until the drug reaches the intestine
  • Isolation of incompatible ingredients
  • Enhancement of drug stability
  • Controlled/delayed drug release
